It's Alright, Ma, It's Only Music airs on WUWM 89.7 FM - Milwaukee Public Radio on Thursday from 8 to 10 pm and is repeated on Saturdays from 9 to 11 pm.

WUWM is celebrating our 60th birthday and honoring one of our most famous alumni, Bob Reitman.

Ever wanted to know the thought process that went into creating the "It's Alright Ma, It's Only Music" playlists? Or hear Reitman recite lines from the first poem he wrote? Or hear what the last "It's Alright Ma, It's Only Music" show was like for Reitman and Bobby?

Answers to that and much more is in the hour long special "Rock 'n Roll Poet: A Reitman Retrospective," an homage to Reitman's nearly 60 year radio career.

You can catch it on 89.7 WUWM on:
Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 28 at noon
Thursday, December 5 at 8pm
Saturday, December 7 at 1pm
Friday, December 20 at Noon
If you don't live in town, you can stream it at wuwm.com. Or via the free app. And you'll also be able to find it on wuwm.com beginning November 28.

Hi "It's Alright Ma" fans!
This is WUWM's Lauri Jones crashing this page because I need your help. The first and last station Reitman worked at, 89.7 WUWM, turns 60 this fall. Our celebrations will include a retrospective of Reitman's career.

Do you have a favorite Reitman memory from any of the radio stations where he worked? Or a question you've always wanted to ask him? We might use them during the retrospective.
