At North American Camera we like to consider ourselves part of your camera crew. Whether it's helping make decisions about camera equipment in pre-production, or finding that hard to locate piece of specialty equipment at the last minute, we are dedicated to helping make your camera department run smoothly. I have worked for the past 30 years in the film-video industry as: Camera Assistant, Operator, and Director of Photography. Having such a "hands-on" relationship with camera equipment has given me the understanding to help provide my clients with state-of-the-art equipment in pristine condition. Nothing less will do. As Wisconsin's only locally owned, full-service professional motion camera equipment provider, we have served clients from as far away as Europe, to the many companies within walking distance of our office. We provide equipment rentals for all budgets and needs, from Super 8mm film to the latest Digital Cinema cameras and everything in between. We look forward to the opportunity to serve your equipment needs.

While the world was watching the Brewers beat the Padres yesterday, some of us had to work! Nothing like a huge 4 camera Sunday prep to end (start??) the week! First AC's .Byrumjackson Trevor Jackson and David Wightman were assisted by Lansky Tuazon to get through the small mountain of gear. It was a pleasure to help make it all happen. Have a great shoot guys!

Thanks to for the invite to their yearly Plumtober Fest. It's always fun to catch up with old friends, and this year was EXTRA special because I got to catch up with the legend himself---Michael Skewes. Mike and I worked together more times than I could hope to count on a wider variety of projects than could be imagined. Me behind the camera, him in front of it being awesome. Since he made it to Plum's party, he owes me an appearance at the Holiday Party this year, so count on seeing him!

Mid-week prep with Randy Lorenz and the Alexa 35 with the classic Angenieux 24-290mm Optimo zoom. For all the camera nerds out there, we are shooting Open Gate, so needed to add a 1.2X expander to this Super 35 glass in order to cover the entire sensor.

Film Friends! I love meeting new ones, and today I met two. John Clark and Afrim Zenuni from the Chicago area were in today to test some older film stock for a future short film being shot by Afrim. Our ARRI 535B was dusted off and coaxed to pull some film through it. They even shot anamorphic since the camera is 4-perf anyhow, why not!? Looking forward to hearing how the footage turns out, and to work with these two again sometime.

Being visited by old friends is good. Being visited by old friends and playing with all of NAC's lenses all day is GREAT! Thanks to my old pals DJ Kast and John Di Salvo for making the drive from the Green Bay area to check out most of NAC's optical wares.
Always happy to demo the equipment goodies, for those interested in expanding their creative palette.
