Attorney Michael Hupy Offers $10,000 Reward to Help Solve Recent Milwaukee Murder

Milwaukee, WI – July 1, 2025 – Attorney Michael Hupy has offered a $10,000 reward to help solve the tragic murder of Bre’nee Veasley, a 19-year-old college student, in Milwaukee.

On Friday, June 20, 2025, gunfire erupted at a teen party near 85th Street and Brown Deer Road, leaving Bre’nee dead just a day before she was set to begin a new role at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital-Elmbrook. Loved ones remember Bre’nee as intelligent, caring, and full of potential.

“This is another needless, tragic death of a young person. As president of Milwaukee Crime Stoppers, I want to say, this has to stop,” said Attorney Hupy.

Those with information can submit anonymous tips to Milwaukee Crime Stoppers by calling 414-224-8477 or submitting a tip online at www.milwaukeecrimestoppers.com [ctrk.klclick1.com] to be eligible for the reward.

Beat the Heat: Staying Hydrated this Summer
By: Dr. Joy Lincoln

During the hot summer months, it is important to keep you and your family hydrated. According to the American Heart Association, drinking enough water is essential to regulate body temperature, deliver nutrients, and keep your mind and heart healthy.

Here are some recommendations on prioritizing hydration for you and your family this summer season:

1. First things first. Have a glass of water first thing in the morning. Drinking water in the morning can help your body recover from nightly dehydration and boost your mood. Drinking water on an empty stomach also allows it to absorb faster, helping you on your way to a hydrated day.

2. Incorporate water-dense foods into your diet. Drinking multiple glasses of water throughout the day can be challenging for anyone. Help boost your daily hydration by incorporating water-dense foods into your and your family’s diets. Try snacking on fruits and vegetables rich in water like watermelon and cucumbers.

3. Make water fun! Sometimes, water can get old. Try switching things up and making water a fun part of your and your kid’s day. Infuse your water with natural fruits. Use a funky straw. Make fun-shaped ice cubes.

4. Prioritize water during family mealtimes. Water is great for digestion and helps you slow down while eating to check your fullness signals. When it is mealtime, prioritize water over other beverages. Make sure that everyone at the table has a glass of water.

5. Always pack a water bottle. Wherever you and your family are heading, pack a water bottle. Grab a reusable bottle and keep it with you all day. Drinking water throughout the day can help curve cravings, maintain hydration, and give you energy.

Keeping your body physically and mentally healthy requires plenty of nutrients, water, and physical activity. Instilling healthy habits within kids and families is why the American Heart
