During the inaugural Black Music Week, hosted by bamX, Jermaine Dupri took time to honor Atlanta music pioneers such as The S.O.S. Band, one of the city’s foundational groups, formed in 1977 before Atlanta became known as a hip-hop capital. He also encouraged today’s generation of artists and creators to collaborate and continue building on the city’s legendary music legacy. Jermaine Dupri was joined by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens at The Retreat by The Gathering Spot for a Black Music Week speaking engagement.
