We're thrilled to collaborate with the Bronzeville Center for the Arts (BCA) on a transformative initiative right here in Milwaukee.

Established in 2020, the BCA is dedicated to exploring, preserving, and presenting African American art and culture, aiming to elevate creativity and knowledge while honoring Bronzeville's rich artistic heritage. ​

The BCA's vision includes developing a 50,000-square-foot facility at the corner of North Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, featuring exhibitions, educational programs, and immersive artistic experiences. This project promises to revitalize the historic Bronzeville neighborhood, fostering community engagement and cultural enrichment.​

Florida, Boy George's Drummer & Remembering to "Smell the Roses."

Just returned from a beautiful trip to Florida for a wedding, and it was a powerful reminder to truly stay in the moment. The party had asked to hold back on personal photos/video so I'm sharing out a general recap.

Sitting next to the groom's son—a fellow drummer—who’s about to tour the UK with none other than Boy George (yes, 80's fans, you read that right!) added an extra spark to the weekend.

I was reminded how essential it is to hit pause, live in the now, and recharge.

So here’s your friendly reminder as we get into Thanksgiving and Christmas: put the laptop down, enjoy the moment, and enjoy your people.

What an incredible two days at the SBOC 2024 conference last week! It was packed with amazing talks, insights, and connections. From sketchnoting Carl Gould’s practical tips on boosting revenue to capturing Lisa Raebel’s marketing wisdom and Geeta Nankari’s strategies on streamlining processes, I walked away with so much inspiration.

The best part? Meeting old friends like Pat Miller and connecting with new faces—people who are just as passionate about growing their businesses and communities.

The future is bright, and I’m excited about the collaborations that are already starting to take shape.

Check out this cool marketing move by KFC! Back in 2021, they opened a new spot in Majorca, right in an area everyone just calls "where IKEA is." So, KFC whipped up a billboard that mashed up their look with IKEA’s. Smart, right? It was perfect for that spot because it spoke the locals' language by linking the familiar with the new.

It’s all about blending in like a chameleon and using what’s familiar to connect with people. Always start with what your audience knows and loves to guide them your way.

Puerto Rico Chronicles: Part 2 - From Fun to Furry with Ernesto

Our Puerto Rican adventure took a dramatic twist as Tropical Storm Ernesto made his presence felt, transforming our sunny escapades into a windswept saga.

Yet, in the midst of the storm, the handpan prevailed.

As we huddled inside the hotel, the storm raging outside couldn't rival the handpan. The hotel manager cut the lobby muzak and asked me to let it roll!

Music has the power to bring people together, no matter the circumstances.

Make sure you catch the end of the video because I caught Sharmond, who is the guy from the Bahamas I mentioned in my previous post, in his element as we collaborated right in the airport!

I'm excited to share some personal reflections and exciting news! It's amazing how time unfolds opportunities we never imagined. Back when we many of us gathered at then Serendipity Labs in 2020, who would have thought we'd be where we are today? And now, in a twist of fate, I find myself working with Pat Miller⚡️ and the Small Business Owners Community (SBOC) as we prepare for the collaboration to support the SBOC 2024 Conference.

Throwback to the unforgettable "Young Guns" social influencer conference back in 2020! Someone recently mentioned this event, and it instantly took me down memory lane.

I had the incredible opportunity to cover the conference with sketchnotes, capturing the essence of each speaker's message in a unique and visual form. The energy from dynamic speakers like David Belman and Andy Weins made it fun.

Have I aged since this video? I have more hair now and that helps. It’s not just a look back at the powerful talks given but also a reflection of the vibrant atmosphere that only a gathering of inspiring minds could offer.
