How Farmers Are Fixing the Dumbest Decision Made by All Tractor Manufacturers

Most tractors give the operator no way to monitor hydraulic oil temperature, even though excessive heat and improper operating viscosity can cause accelerated wear and shorten the life of expensive hydraulic components.
In this video, I install a resistive oil temperature sensor and connect it to a Veratron VL Digital 52 monitor. The surprising part is that the sensor itself costs only about $10. After completing the installation, we put the tractor to work and see its hydraulic oil temperature displayed inside the cab for the first time.

Why Farmers Are Removing Liquid Ballast

For years, liquid ballast has been one of the most common ways to add weight and stability to farm tractors. But lately, more and more farmers are starting to remove it… and there’s a reason why.
