We enjoyed a performance of "Showstoppers" at St. Vincent's Summer Theater Sunday afternoon. Professional talent singing some of the best songs from about 30 Broadway musicals ... it was sensational. They have one more show in a few weeks - "Forever Plaid."

Johnstown's Central Park as we know it is about to disappear! Most of the 60-year old trees will be cut down! The fountain will be yanked out and hauled away! Many of the grassy areas will become cement! The only green space in downtown will be gone all to create an "activity area" for concerts.

This is a mistake that cannot be undone. Please watch the video and make a decision ... should our Central Park be demolished?

This a beautiful little spot produced 24 years ago. So many commercials today cram 30 to 40 scenes into a 30-second slot. We used 9 scenes to tell this story in a soft, reassuring manner. It was great to work with Amy Bradley and Pat Kane on this production.

17 years ago, we worked with Elisco Advertising of Pittsburgh to produce some TV commercials for Idlewild Park. For this one, we auditioned moms and kids at The Talent Group (a talent agency in Pgh).

We needed a location with just the right kitchen setup, so Rebecca looked at places that sold model homes. She found one on display in Delmont, we rented it for a day, and shot the kitchen scenes there. One more day of shooting at the park, plus editing at WIX PIX and, ta-da, we had a TV spot.

Here's a beautiful 30-second spot WIX PIX produced for Carnegie House in State College. Each scene meticulously planned and lit with real employees as the actors. We even wet down the sidewalk leading to the front entrance to make the scene glisten. The man walking toward the building in the end scene was Ron Shroyer, the creative director for Barash Advertising. The year ... 2002.

This weekend is a good time for us to be reminded about the sacrifice of those who died so we can be free. If you can spare 4 minutes, please consider watching this video of a speech I gave six years ago on the 100th birthday of Sgt. Michael Strank, the Marine who led five other Marines in raising the US flag on Iwo Jima in February, 1945. Thank you.

Here's a great spot about 25 years old. Shot at a sheep farm out toward Carrolltown. Written by Ron Shroyer from Barash Advertising. We auditioned the actor in Pittsburgh. Shot over two days ... one on the farm and one at the hospital. Probably took 20 hours of pre-production and shooting to get what we wanted. What a challenge and what a ball! The WIX PIX team was incredibly talented ... proud to have played a part.
