🏈 FRIDAY NIGHT FAMILY FEUD! 🏈

Tonight’s matchup at Buckeye Local had a little extra family flavor as the Panthers welcomed Steubenville Catholic Central — putting cousins Hayden Daley and Greg Bahen on opposite sidelines. 👀

The Panthers and Crusaders put on a defensive battle, with both sides doing their best to keep the scoreboard quiet. When the final whistle blew, Central Catholic walked away with the 20-8 win.

It may have been a low-scoring night, but it was definitely high on defense, intensity and a little family competition. 🏈🔥

Because nothing says family bonding quite like trying to beat each other under the Friday night lights. 😂

🏈 THE BACKYARD BRAWL

When two schools share the same ZIP Code, you know Friday night is going to feel a little different. 😤🏈

The East Liverpool Potters welcomed the Beaver Local Beavers to Patterson Field tonight for the annual Backyard Brawl-a matchup that puts two neighboring communities, two proud programs and plenty of bragging rights on the line.

Despite a slow start to the game, the Beavers pulled away for a 28-7 victory, moving to 4-0 on the season while East Liverpool falls to 2-2.

But records and scoreboards only tell part of the story. This is one of those games where the atmosphere matters just as much. The crowd, the energy, the familiar faces on opposite sidelines and that little extra edge that comes when your opponent literally lives in your backyard.

Two schools.
One ZIP Code.
One Backyard Brawl.

And tonight, the Beavers get to take the bragging rights home. 🦫🏈

🏆 CLASH AT THE CLASSIC | 2026 🏆

There are football games… and then there are football games that feel like an EXPERIENCE.

Tonight, Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium was filled with the energy, tradition, pride and pageantry of the Black College Football Hall of Fame Clash at the Classic, as the defending CIAA champion Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls met the defending SIAC champion Albany State Golden Rams.

And the Golden Bulls came ready.

Johnson C. Smith took control early and never let go, rolling to a 27–7 victory over Albany State.

Fabian Duncan was the story of the night, rushing for 144 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns tying his career high for rushing scores.

Quarterback Damien Mazil added 184 passing yards, completing 12 of 18 attempts, while the Golden Bulls’ defense held Albany State to 227 total yards.

But the Clash at the Classic is about more than the final score.

It’s the bands filling the stadium.
It’s the traditions.
It’s the history.
It’s the pride that comes with HBCU football.
It’s seeing two programs step onto the same field where football history is celebrated every day.

And then, when the final whistle sounds, it’s the celebration including the presentation of the Clash at the Classic trophy to the winning Golden Bulls. 🏆

Another incredible football experience at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Another reminder that in Canton, football isn’t just played — it’s celebrated.

WEEK 3 | A BATTLE CLOSE TO HOME 🏈🔥

When your schools are right down the road from each other, you know there’s going to be a little extra energy in the stadium.

Friday night, the Minerva Lions hosted the Sandy Valley Cardinals in a game that packed the stands and kept the crowd on their feet.

These two teams went point for point through three quarters, with Sandy Valley answering every Minerva score and refusing to let the Lions pull away. Every possession mattered, every play felt bigger, and the intensity only continued to climb as the clock ticked down.

Then came the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Minerva finally found the separation it needed and pulled away late, securing a 35-21 victory and improving to 2-1 on the season.

The Cardinals fought hard from start to finish, while the Lions found a way to make the plays when it mattered most.

🔥 Friday Night Football | Week 2 🏈

The Dover Tornadoes made the trip to Steubenville tonight for a Week 2 matchup with Big Red and Steubenville definitely brought the heat. 🔥

Big Red put together a strong performance on both sides of the ball, earning a 44–14 victory over Dover. 💪🏈

But it’s only Week 2, and there’s a whole lot of football still ahead for both of these teams. The season is just getting started, and Friday night lights have plenty more to shine on. 🌙🏈

🏈 Friday Night Lights are BACK! 🏈

Week 1 of Ohio high school football brought the West Branch Warriors down to the Valley for a season-opening matchup with the St. Clairsville Red Devils and with it came everything we love about Friday nights.

The cheerleaders on the sidelines. 📣
The band filling the stadium with music. 🎶
The crowd coming alive.
The lights shining down on the field. 💡
The players leaving it all out there.
The families, friends and communities coming together to cheer on their teams.

And, of course, one team gets to walk away with the win. Tonight, that team was West Branch.

Friday Night Lights are officially back. And it feels good. 🏈🔥

Preseason football is officially underway! 🏈🔥

Spent today at the tri-school scrimmage featuring the Brooke Bruins, Cameron Dragons and Oak Glen Golden Bears, and there was plenty of action to capture.

From high-flying catches and big plays to long runs and hard-fought reps, all three teams brought plenty of energy to the field. Scrimmages are about getting those final pieces in place, building confidence and seeing what your team can do when the lights come on.

The season is just around the corner, and if today was any indication, there’s going to be plenty of football to watch in the Ohio Valley!

Best of luck to the Bruins, Dragons and Golden Bears this season! 🏈📸

Some players make noise.
Luke Kuechly never needed to.

His game said everything.

For eight seasons, No. 59 was the heartbeat of the Carolina Panthers defense…diagnosing plays before they unfolded, flying to the football, and always seeming to be exactly where he was needed.

Now, at just 35 years old, Luke Kuechly is a Pro Football Hall of Famer. 🏆

➡️ 1,092 career tackles
➡️ 7 Pro Bowls
➡️ 7 All-Pro selections
➡️ 2012 Defensive Rookie of the Year
➡️ 2013 Defensive Player of the Year
➡️ 2-time NFL tackles leader
➡️ 3-time Butkus Award winner
➡️ NFL 2010s All-Decade Team

All of it came in just eight NFL seasons.

That’s what makes his career so rare.

He stepped away at 28, leaving the game on his own terms with a résumé that was short in length, but legendary in impact.

And now, another milestone:

Luke Kuechly becomes the second-youngest player ever inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, behind only Gale Sayers. 🏆

Quiet. Intelligent. Dominant.

A player who never chased the spotlight — but defined it anyway.

There are some people who walk into a room and instantly make it brighter. 😄

Larry Fitzgerald has always been one of those people.

The smile. The laugh. The genuine joy. And somehow, through all the greatness, records, touchdowns and accolades, he never seemed to lose the kid who simply loved football.

And what a journey it has been. 🏈

➡️ 17 seasons — all with the Arizona Cardinals
➡️ 1,432 receptions
➡️ 17,492 receiving yards — 2nd all-time in NFL history
➡️ 121 receiving touchdowns
➡️ 11 Pro Bowls
➡️ NFL 100 All-Time Team
➡️ 2016 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year

But maybe one of the coolest parts of Larry’s story happened long before the records.

As a kid, Larry Fitzgerald was a ball boy for the Minnesota Vikings.

He grew up around the game, watching and learning from the players he admired. One of those players was Hall of Famer Cris Carter.

Fast forward all these years later…

The kid who once worked as a ball boy for the Vikings stood on the biggest stage in football and Cris Carter was the one who put the gold jacket on him. 🥹💛

You couldn’t write a better full-circle moment.

From ball boy… to one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play the game… to Pro Football Hall of Famer.

And through it all?

That smile. That laugh. That joy. ❤️

Congratulations, Larry Fitzgerald. You earned every bit of this moment.
