Ethiopian Athlete Galete Burka Accuses Husband of Selling Her Properties and Filing for Divorce Amidst Personal Threats
In a shocking revelation, renowned Ethiopian athlete Galete Burka has publicly accused her husband of selling her properties without her consent. Burka, who has dedicated over 20 years to her sport, says her life has been turned upside down by her husband's actions.
According to Burka, she entrusted her husband with legal guardianship over her assets, but while she was concentrating on her training, he sold most of her properties and initiated divorce proceedings. She claims that out of the 11 properties awarded to her by the government—comprising houses and lands—10 have been sold or taken without her knowledge.
