God put on the most spectacular display in my own back yard the other day.

In a world where everything is hustle and grind and slowing down feels like a luxury, I have a deep love for nature’s rare and stunning displays because they MAKE me stop.

I stare in awe and wonder. I breathe. I take it all in.

And yes, then I take a photo or 12.

It’s an incredible reminder of the beauty of God’s creation and the magnificence of His love and of His existence.

This is 9! My girl is almost a senior and my heart can’t handle it.

You all know and love this baby for her cuteness, her attitude, and her sweetness. She is the goodest girl and truly a good dog. She might have her quirks and she sometimes pees on the floor instead of the pad (as yorkies do…), but she brings more joy to people than I’ve ever imagined.

Happy birthday Gracie. Here’s to many, many more!

I *had* to. They’re just so beautiful!

I passed on the collab last year because while they were nice, I didn’t love them enough to justify the purchase. This year, since I am being so very selective about the wicked: For Good merch I actually buy (and the fact the things I’m interested in are actually way to pricy to justify buying. $300 for an American Girl? Come on!) I decided if I found them, these beauties were coming home with me.

I’ve already observed the straw is wider than my current beverage container, so I am actually drinking more water than I have been without trying. Score 1 for the Stanley.

Someone has adapted to our new home quite nicely.

She had a bed in every room and spends her days following us around and settling into whatever room we are hanging out in. When it’s nice out she gets to run in the yard, and we go up and down the stairs a lot more, so after playtime she often has to take a nap.

Little Gracie turns 9 on 11/2. While she still looks and often acts like a puppy, I imagine the bigger house and more movement is more tiring in her older age. Hopefully it keeps her young and active longer, just like the hope is for me in this house 😅

Furniture is all here and now the unboxing, setup, and 500000 decisions about where to put things begins.

Thank you so much for your patience as I randomly ghosted my socials while this whole thing was underway. I can’t wait to get back to regularly scheduled programming and even better content for you from the new place.

Last taste of for the season. 😢

Yes, hubby and I did have ice cream for dinner last night, but when it’s 85° on October 3rd in Minnesota and your favorite ice cream shop closes for the season next weekend that is simply what you do!

The line was SO long the whole time we were in the area because all of the Minnesotans were taking full advantage of this final bonus summer weekend before it starts to feel like fall.

Thank you Lord for the beauty of your creation and a few extra days of summer. It was lovely.
