CPB funding accounts for just 7.86% of KFAI's budget, yet its impact is catalytic. It enables us to leverage state and local dollars, helping community radio remain true to its purpose: local, independent, and accountable to the people, not to shareholders.

This morning, the Senate introduced an amendment to the rescission bill that would cut $1.1 billion from public media funding. Later today, the House will vote on the amendment.
