The Bemidji Police Department is currently investigating a missing juvenile from the City of Bemidji. Nevaeh Leigh Kingbird, age 15 was reported as a runaway by her family on 10/22/2021. Officers have worked with her family and continued the investigation. Kingbird has not been in contact with family or friends since the date she was reported missing.
Nevaeh Kingbird, age 15, is described as Native American female with light complexion, 5’4” tall and 120lbs. She was last seen wearing a jeans, athletic slide type shoes and unknown outerwear. Kingbird has long dark colored hair with highlights, a scar near her left eyebrow and brown eyes.
Bemidji Police Detectives have learned Kingbird was seen leaving a party in the area of Carter Circle in the southern end of the City on 10/22/2021 about 1:00AM. Kingbird was later seen leaving a second residence, alone, in the Southview Terrace Park at about 2:00AM. Searches of the immediate area around these locations have failed to provide any information about her location. Attached is a photograph of Kingbird.
Currently, the Bemidji Police Department is working to find Kingbird with the assistance of the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the FBI.
This case is under active investigation, there are no further details to release.
