It’s not that I don’t care.
It’s not that I’m lazy.

It’s that my brain is trying to process 47 thoughts at the same time while I’m standing in the kitchen like… why am I here again?

I’ll start one thing…
get distracted by five others…
and somehow end up doing none of them.

I overthink every decision, avoid the ones that feel overwhelming, and tell myself “I’ll do it later”… as if “later me” is some wildly more responsible version of myself.

(She’s not.)

And the worst part?
From the outside, it just looks like I’m not trying.

At 38, I found out it was ADHD.
