“Mommy, I’m four now!”
At 3:17 in the morning, four years ago today, after hours of waiting, praying, and wondering what motherhood would really feel like, they placed Anna in my arms…
and in that moment, I discovered a love deeper than I ever knew was possible.
Since then, life has been filled with bedtime stories, princess dress twirls, sticky kisses, big belly laughs, and the kind of joy that sneaks into ordinary days and turns them into something holy.
And somehow, while I’ve been raising her, she’s been teaching me too—
patience,
grace,
and how to slow down long enough to see the magic right in front of me.
Today she’s smiling big, excited over balloons, proudly saying, “Mommy, I’m four now!”
like she’s already so grown.
Part of me wants to freeze this moment forever.
Because these little years go so fast.
Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet Anna.
You are our greatest gift.
Maybe this is one of the most beautiful ways God shows His goodness—through the children He places in our arms.
If you believe children are a gift from God, say Amen.
