The theme of this year’s UFVA conference theme is “Global Frames: Cinema, Culture, and Collaboration”, exploring how globalization continues to shape the practices, pedagogy, and politics of film and media education.

This will be the 80th annual conference, hosted by Jenny Hanson at Augsburg University in Minneapolis on July 28-31, 2026.
