Comedians have long pushed boundaries, but many people believe there’s a difference between edgy humor and reopening cultural wounds that still deeply impact families and communities. Tony Hinchcliffe is facing major backlash after a controversial joke about George Floyd during The Roast of Kevin Hart, with critics calling the moment offensive, insensitive, and out of touch with the pain surrounding Floyd’s death. The reaction online has once again sparked conversations about accountability, comedy, and where audiences draw the line.

When stress speaks… it doesn’t whisper. It shows up in your body, your mind, your peace—and yes, even your hair.

Too many of us are carrying what we were never meant to hold. Trying to be everything for everyone… while slowly losing ourselves in the process.

ā€œI didn’t start healing until I chose myself over what was hurting me.ā€

That part.

Healing begins the moment you decide:
your peace matters
your health matters
YOU matter

Choose yourself. Not once… but daily.

We honor the life and legacy of Candice Ellis. šŸ™šŸ¾

A leader. A builder. A woman who showed up for her community with intention and purpose.

Candice was a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, carrying the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood in every space she entered.

Her impact across Minneapolis will be felt for years to come—but her greatest legacy lives on through her daughter, Ramaya Ellis-Debrah.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, her sorors, and all who were touched by her life.

Her work mattered.
Her presence mattered.
And her legacy will continue. šŸ•Šļø

A voice for the voiceless has been silenced—but the echo of his work will live forever.

Reverend Jesse Jackson dedicated nearly seven decades to justice, dignity, and the fight for those pushed to the margins. From the civil rights movement to the global stage, his leadership, courage, and unwavering belief in collective power reshaped history and expanded what was possible for generations to come.

ā€œKeep Hope Aliveā€ was never just a phrase—it was a charge. And that charge remains with us.

Rest in power, Reverend Jesse Jackson. Your legacy endures.

This Black History Month, we honor Ida B. Wells—a fearless journalist and truth-teller who understood the power of media long before it was widely acknowledged.

At a time when speaking truth came with real danger, Ida B. Wells used her voice and her pen to expose injustice, demand accountability, and protect the dignity of Black lives. She didn’t just report history—she challenged it.

We honor her because UnBX Media stands in that same spirit:
to amplify truth, center Black voices, and tell our stories on our own terms.

Storytelling is not just creative.
It’s revolutionary.

When brands pay record-high prices for Super Bowl ad slots, they’re not just buying airtime— they’re buying a chance to be seen everywhere at once. In a media world where attention is scattered across screens, platforms, and feeds, the Big Game still delivers a rare moment of collective focus where millions are tuned in at the same time and talking about what they saw afterward. Super Bowl ads spark search behavior, social buzz, cultural shareability, and long-after conversation — not just TV views. That’s why even with today’s fragmented media, brands still use the Super Bowl to stake their claim, shape narratives, and connect with audiences in ways other platforms can’t replicate. ļæ¼

Today, Cultural Kare Magazine honors the life and legacy of music legend Jellybean Johnson. His passing is a tremendous loss for the Twin Cities music community, and his impact will continue to echo through every stage, every sound, and every artist he inspired.

This photograph carries deep meaning for our team. It captures Jellybean with the mother of our Editor in Chief, a true lover of music who grew up admiring the Minneapolis sound, Prince, Morris Day, and the full era of funk. When she met Jellybean, he greeted her with the same warmth, kindness, and humble spirit that defined him both on and off the stage.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, his friends, and everyone who has been touched by his remarkable legacy. Thank you, Jellybean, for blessing Minnesota and blessing the world with your extraordinary gift.
Rest in eternal peace. šŸ•ŠļøšŸ’œ

šŸ•Šļø Remembering Marshawn Kneeland — a rising star whose light shined far beyond the field. From Grand Rapids to the Dallas Cowboys, his journey was one of strength, discipline, and determination. His story is a reminder to check in, reach out, and care deeply — because even the strongest among us carry silent battles.

Let’s honor his legacy by continuing the conversation around mental health and supporting one another, on and off the field. šŸ’™
