A Jimmy Olsen spinoff is reportedly in early development at DC Studios. If fully greenlit, the series could bring a grounded perspective to DC’s evolving film and television lineup while highlighting one of DC's most underutilized, yet iconic, characters.

A potential new DC series centered on Superman’s trusted friend and Daily Planet photographer Jimmy Olsen is reportedly in the works — though insiders stress it’s still in the very early stages of development.

Reporting on the planet, daily

The Daily Planet is currently a nonprofit multimedia news organization. Our mission is to one day become a legitimate news organization that prides itself on informing the public rather than competing for their attention like most major news outlets.

Presently, we’re striving for this goal while simultaneously providing an outlet for people to use their voice. We also hope to cater to those looking to build their portfolios with experience in journalism, design, and more. Much like our source of inspiration, DC Comics’ Daily Planet, we cover a variety of topics while maintaining unbiased reports with facts, statements and respectable sources.

We are a US based publication designed to cater to the planetary audience of the 21st century, with over 22,000 subscribers planet wide (about half are international) while recognizing our journalistic roots. Besides online, we publish a digital newspaper weekly, a digital magazine every fall and spring and also collaborate with a series of podcasts from time to time.
