We’re excited to announce The Making of America film is going on tour this Fall! First stop: Historic Fort Snelling on Saturday, Sept 5. Join us for a film screening, panel discussion, and art showcase: Reconstruction 2.0: Allegories of a Better World.

About the Film: This documentary film explores how Enlightenment-era systems of knowledge shaped what became the United States of America. Directed by Monique Linder, and produced by OMG Studios in partnership with Minnesota Humanities Center, the film explores how Enlightenment-era systems of knowledge—art, science, architecture, and cartography—produced enduring frameworks for racial slavery, territorial extraction, and Indigenous dispossession in what became the United States of America.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged but not required. Learn More:
