A man exited a Metro Transit bus at 36th and Penn avenues on Friday and shot into the bus, injuring three passengers.
Police fanned out in an alley behind Penn in search of the suspect, who remained at large as of Friday night. Detectives, reviewing bus video, managed to pull an image of the suspect, Metro Transit Police Chief Joe Dotseth said
The shooting occurred on a northbound Metro C Line bus just after 3:30 p.m. The bus sped away from the stop before stopping at 43rd Avenue.
Five evidence tags for shell casings could be seen at the Penn and 36th stop.
Three male passengers were transported to North Memorial Hospital. One was in critical but stable condition, while the other two were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Dotseth said.
“These acts of violence in our community are unacceptable,” Dotseth said. We will work to hold the person who caused this accountable.”
This is a developing story.

Northsider Susan Tincher was taken away by what her husband assumes were ICE agents this morning at 21st Street and Oliver Avenue North around 6 a.m.

“No idea where she is,” Jim Tincher, Susan’s husband, shared with North News Tuesday morning. “This is just ridiculous.”

According to Jim, Susan had recently joined a Signal group to observe ICE in public. When she responded to an alert to ICE presence at a house at 21st and Oliver, she was allegedly apprehended quickly by what appeared to be ICE agents in plain clothes when she walked up to the intersection.

"Help me," Susan screamed as she was arrested by uniformed agents at 6:24 a.m. When bystanders asked where she was being taken, no one answered. Whistles blared in the background from other ICE observers signaling that ICE was in the area.

ICE agents had a professional camera crew with them.

Jim has reached out to Attorney General Keith Ellison, among other elected officials. Susan was reportedly taken to the ICE field office in Saint Paul and later released.

North News does not have information on why ICE was at 21st and Oliver this morning. Anyone with information can reach reporter Melody Hoffmann at [email protected] or on Signal at .143
