We know many of you were first exposed to August Publications thanks to Andy Strasberg and his books, My 1961 and Home Runs: Tales of Tonks, Taters, Contests and Derbies. If you're a fan of Andy's writing, we have two bits of big news for you.
First: Andy's byline can be now found in the San Diego Union-Tribune as a guest sports columnist, sharing stories from his years in the front office of the San Diego Padres. His first column, covering Mother's Day promotions and the Beach Boys, appeared this past Sunday.
Second: We've teased Andy's next title in past newsletters, and here's more of a tease. Andy's compiled his best stories about his Padres years in his next book for August Publications, and we'll be publishing it later this year. It's a good one: if you liked My 1961, you'll love his memories from his years in an MLB front office, his interactions with the great players of the era, and be amazed at how much the game as changed. Featuring a foreword by Dave Winfield, we expect you'll love the next Andy Strasberg title.
