50 years ago, a young woman named JoAnn Bontjes went out for a night with friends at a local bar, the Trimont Legion in southern Minnesota. Early the next morning, her car was found on the side of the road, but JoAnn was missing. The next day, her body was discovered on a different road nearby. She'd been murdered; shot in the head by a killer yet to be found. We have been following this case since 2019 and working intimately with the Martin County, MN Sheriff's Office, with the hope that we'll be there when justice is finally served. Partial DNA samples have been obtained in the case, but they have yet to result in the identification of a suspect. We have a lot of followers in MN, IA, and the surrounding states. If you have ANY information on JoAnn's murder which took place shortly after October 1st, 1975, please come forward and contact Martin County at 507-238-3167. Small town rumors have run rampant about what might have happened to JoAnn, but facts are what will finally solve this case.
