This 1980 Volkswagen Rabbit stole the show at the Celebration of Lakes ice racing event. I love the square body style of this generation of Rabbit, and they look mean when given slightly more aggressive than stock wheels and tires, as well as mud flaps. This one absolutely ripped, and very well filled my camera roll. Happy to be back to some more wheel-to-wheel motorsports action this winter! Two ice race-filled weekends back to back brings me smiles!

If each of these cars could talk and tell their stories… I wouldn’t understand them since they’d be in Japanese.

But I’m sure they’d be amazing stories!

Visit with me! Only in today!

The more I see Porsche, the more I am drawn to them. The first time I was really drawn to them was when I watched cover a few years ago, and I noticed how every single car is a piece of art.

These days, my eye still is immediately drawn to them like a piece of art. One day, I’ll own one 🙌🏼

While in Japan, I had the opportunity to to Daikoku PA on my last night, thanks to ! It was a cold, rainy Wednesday evening, which made night very unique, in my opinion. It was definitely not a packed out lot like you normally see on Youtube, but I’ll take the experience that’s different from everyone else’s!

We had to wait a while, but eventually multiple R35’s, R34’s, an RX7 FD, a Miata, a Capuccino, and many more unique Japanese cars rolled in. If you want to see active footage, head over to my Youtube channel (link in bio) where a new Daikoku vid just dropped!

Which car is your favorite?

Being on the track and behind the camera is always a surreal experience. Every second at the track or in the garage tells a story of passion and determination. 🔧🏎️
It’s an honor to document the people and teams who make this sport what it is. Here’s a little behind the scenes, and you can look forward to more from now on!

I spent a Sunday evening car spotting in Akihabara and here’s what I found…

Honestly, I was hoping to see more, but I’m satisfied with all the cars that came through! Loved seeing the JDM and itashas out and about since they seem so few and far between here.

It misted nearly the whole time I was out, which made keeping the camera dry and safe a bit tough. In the end, it worked out alright because rain always ads so much beauty and texture to car photos.

I’ve also always loved the editing styles with color that I see primarily in photos of electric towns in Japan. I gave this style a go myself with these - let me know what you think!

If/when you go to Japan, what cars do you hope to see the most?

3rd day in Tokyo, first day heading towards Akihabara. I’d seen bunch of Porches and few other nice cars, but nothing super JDM yet.

Walking to Akihabara, I spotted this clean 180sx from a mile away with its beautiful bright teal color. The third photo in this carousel is the first photo I took, and I didn’t realize until after I had taken it that the owner was in the car! After snapping a few more, and his friend stepped out of the car and we got to fumble through a little bit of English and Japanese together, us learning about the drift event they were in Tokyo for and them learning about the Drift Matsuri at Ebisu we were headed to in one week.

Following the initial intro, I snapped a few more photos , running across the street and back, and then returned to say thanks and goodbye. Hirofume, thanks for being our first friend in Japan!

It seems I’ve been MIA for a while… in my time away, I went to Japan, and this is what I found!

Ebisu Circuit, a motorsports park that boasts 5 courses, touge, mountain views from nearly every angle (+ incredible fall colors while we were there), and an incredible variety of cars driven by very skilled athletes. Out of my two weeks in, I only spent one day at Ebisu Circuit for the Fall Drift Matsuri, but it was a day I’ll never forget. I even got to ride along in ‘s car for a run - video coming soon. It will be an insane feat to go to an event that tops this one in my lifetime.

If you’re planning on going to Japan as a car enthusiast, this circuit is must. If you want/need more info on it, feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to share more of my experience!

Many more stories and photos to come (still have a ton to edit, but this was top of the list)!
