Dr. Philipp Grunnbauer is part of a news generation of Dr’s who want to not only employ technology against neurodegenerative conditions, but they are actually involved in the development of that technology.

Grunnbauer’s company, MedEngine, is developing a project that combines an app with wearable technology, in this case a wristwatch, to provide people with PD a range of data aimed at helping the user in a number of ways. For Grunnbauer the project was inspired by witnessing too many people who were unable to get answers to their questions in a timely manner.

Through her years as a Physical Therapist, specializing in movement disorders, Dr. Anne Adix or, “Annie” as she prefers to be called, has seen much in the way of progress and she is optimistic about how treatment through physical therapy is producing ever greater results.

That said, Annie also sees lots of room for improvement in areas like diet, sleep, and for people who live in areas where access to treatment is not readily available.

Dr. Anne Adix is a Senior Physical Therapist at Struthers Parkinson’s Center in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Preferring to go by “Annie” rather than Dr. Adix, Annie has spent more than two decades studying movement disorders and helping people to slow the onslaught of Parkinson’s Disease.

When working with patients Annie is, in some parts greater or smaller, coach, Dr., and cheerleader. But, no matter what hat she is wearing, when she is working with a patient Annie is always fully energized and deeply thankful for the opportunity to impact lives on such a direct and personal basis.

NEW episode coming later this week!
