This post is about humility in the finest sense. A couple weeks back a short Doc I did audio post for won an Upper Midwest Regional Emmy. The film is called HOW TO CARE, and it "follows Dan, a 75-year-old artist living with cerebral palsy, and the remarkable team devoted to his around-the-clock care. Through moments of joy, challenge, and reflection, this short documentary sheds light on the vital role of direct care and its impact on millions of Americans like Dan." I am utterly humbled by Dan. His incredible drive and indefatigable spirit and that amazing team around him are true inspirations. Thanks to filmmaker Brennan Vance and Producer Jon Hallberg for asking me to help -- even in a small way -- tell this story. (this link includes a link to watch this moving film):

In an EPIC turn of events, the film Living Well was part of, “How to Care,” won an Emmy last Saturday, October 18, at the Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Awards celebration at Mystic Lake Casino. Everyone at Living Well is beyond grateful to the filmmakers who wanted to tell the story of caregivers....

It's been a long journey for Writer-Performer Marisa Coughlan and her team, but now her feature film BLUE EYED GIRL -- starring Beau Bridges, Eliza Couple, Sam Trammel and Marisa -- is finally being released. Well, here is something I have never experienced... An animated short film I scored, The Brave Locomotive, after it became officially long-listed for an Oscar, was dropped on YouTube for all to see. Yesterday. And within 24 hours has over 420,000 views and over 3600 comments! Go watch it (it is only 7 minutes long) and celebrate the fantastic art, animation, and design that is an unabashed homage to a bygone era while also being fresh. Bravo Andrew Chesworth and The Brave Locomotive team!

In this Old West musical tale with 1940s flair, a fearless little train and his engineer confront obsolescence as bigger, faster, and more automated machines...
