is hosting an adventure race at Outdoor Retailer this year!

The race will include real orienteering terrain, hidden checkpoints, and route choices that’ll make you think. You can race solo or with a team, and the winner gets a Greenland trip through 57hours 🤩

They've partnered with Minnesota Orienteering Club, Orienteering USA, and the Loppet Foundation to build a course worth showing up for. They have spots for around 150 people. Creators, retailers, and media all briefly abandoning their trade show schedules to actually go outside.

Speaker Spotlight: Tom Szaky of TerraCycle ♻️
What if we could eliminate the idea of waste? That's the question Tom has built his career around—and he's bringing it to The Camp.

As founder & CEO of TerraCycle, Tom leads a recycling powerhouse operating in 18 countries, partnering with the world's biggest brands to keep products and packaging out of landfills. He also founded Loop, reimagining consumption by swapping single-use packaging for reusable alternatives.

His work has been recognized by the UN, the World Economic Forum, Fortune, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He's also authored four books on waste and packaging.

In his session on Friday, August 21 at 10 am—Eliminating the Idea of Waste: Circular Innovation for Outdoor Gear and Apparel—Tom will challenge how we think about product life cycles and material recovery. For the outdoor industry, circularity isn't a checkbox. It's a business model, a differentiator, and a growing customer expectation.
