Plantar Fasciitis💫
Folks suffering from PF will generally report:
🔻heel pain
🔻worst upon the ‘first step out of bed’ (or after being seated a while
The foot is packed with muscles and articulations- we run into issues when the muscles aren’t pulling their weight and the articulations aren’t moving the way they should and thus the load is transferred to the fascia. 👉🏻And just as a heads up not all heel pain is plantar fasciitis. 👉🏻And furthermore the whole thing probably isn’t even an -itis anymore. But I digress.
🤓 Anywho- a common happening I see with PF is this lateral (outside) foot pain people also start to develop. In many cases of PF there generally is a degree of arch collapse or EXCESSIVE pronation happening (pronation itself is normal and you should be doing that)- your body will start to subconsciously try and off load that and rock you to the outside of your foot. Boom. Lateral foot pain in addition to the heel discomfort.
So here are a couple ways I get that started, feel free to mix and match with other exercises you may have seen.
