Is the longest running weekly Filipino-American radio show in the United States. and airs every Sunday night from 9:00-9:30 p.m.

The Filipino-American National News (FANN) is one of the only Filipino-American radio shows in the U.S. Central Time on KFAI-Radio, 90.3 FM Minneapolis and 106.7 FM Saint Paul. You can also listen to us online at kfai.org. Two years ago the Filipino-American National News had the honor of interviewing legendary martial artist Daniel Inostano when he was in town for a workshop with the Minnesota Kali Group. Aric Asuncion & I were able to spend time with him after one of his seminars and learn vast deal of knowledge about Filipipino martial arts, his friendship with Bruce Lee & a whole lot more. This 1st time we have released the video version of the interview. Best of health to this ICON and we hope to interview him again in the future.

Had the opportunity to talk to legendary PBA head coach Alex Compton and have him as guest on the Filipino-American National News. We talked about everything from moving back to the states with his family, a book he co authored, his involvement in basketball these days, Gilas, evolution of Filipino basketball players globally and a whole lot more.

Did you know you there are two Filipino American soccer players playing in Minnesota State Soccer quarterfinals in both girls & boys brackets. Senior Marisa Kohen of Stillwater who teams plays tonight at 730pm in Forest Lake. Marisa will be playing college soccer next year at Augustana University.

Senior Zach Roxas of Eagan High School will be playing Thursday at Shakopee Middle School at 7:30pm. Eagan is the defending State Champions and Zach last year was named to the All State team as their goal keeper.

October is Filipino-American History Month. At one point it was said there are 13 known Filipino-American non profit organizations in Minnesota.

For some people they have a general knowledge of what these organizations are and do, but also have misconceptions as well.

Fun fact of a Filipino nature that relates to Naz & Ant is they keep their fresh hair style on point due to creativity of their Filipino American hair stylist Ray Santos who will be a guest on the Filipino-American National News sometime during the NBA season.

It is fall pledge drive from Sept 17-26 for KFAI - Fresh Air Community Radio the home of the Filipino-American National News the longest running weekly Filipino-American radio show in the United States.

We aim to keep our listeners informed of new from the Philippines, internationally, nationally & locally here in Minnesota concerning Filipinos.

We play a plethora of music from artist of Filipino decent and of those that love the Filipino music.

We also interview the likes of community leaders, from authors such as Daphne Fama of house of MonstrousWomen, Maria Cristina (In Her Write Mind) of What Lolo Wants, to actors such as Lou Diamond Phillips & Derek Basco, comedians Jo Koy, JR De Guzman, Rex Navarrete & Kevin Camia, directors Randal Kamradt Jr., Jhett Tolentino & Patricio Alicaway Ginelsa and to athletic world as Camryn Bynum 24, Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra, wrestler TJ Perkins, Dallas Stars Jason Robertson/Matt Dumba are some of the notable people to grace our airwaves.

This radio show is a passion of mine for over 20 years to spotlight the accomplishments of Filipinos that don't always get recognized. To shine a light also on all the great things Filipino Americans are accomplishing in Minnesota as well.
