For some people they have a general knowledge of what these organizations are and do, but also have misconceptions as well.

It is fall pledge drive from Sept 17-26 for KFAI - Fresh Air Community Radio the home of the Filipino-American National News the longest running weekly Filipino-American radio show in the United States.

We aim to keep our listeners informed of new from the Philippines, internationally, nationally & locally here in Minnesota concerning Filipinos.

We play a plethora of music from artist of Filipino decent and of those that love the Filipino music.

We also interview the likes of community leaders, from authors such as Daphne Fama of house of MonstrousWomen, Maria Cristina (In Her Write Mind) of What Lolo Wants, to actors such as Lou Diamond Phillips & Derek Basco, comedians Jo Koy, JR De Guzman, Rex Navarrete & Kevin Camia, directors Randal Kamradt Jr., Jhett Tolentino & Patricio Alicaway Ginelsa and to athletic world as Camryn Bynum 24, Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra, wrestler TJ Perkins, Dallas Stars Jason Robertson/Matt Dumba are some of the notable people to grace our airwaves.

This radio show is a passion of mine for over 20 years to spotlight the accomplishments of Filipinos that don't always get recognized. To shine a light also on all the great things Filipino Americans are accomplishing in Minnesota as well.

Had the fortunate opportunity to pre record an interview with 1st time author Daphne Fama () who book House of Monstrous Women come out on August 12.

A novel that set in the Philippines 🇵🇭 in 1986 during the People Power Revolution tells the story of women Josephine whose life is turn upside down after the death of loved one and how childhood friend invitation to her house brings into play the supernatural world she always knew of her friend and how the supernatural world of the Philippines could change her life.

We also discuss her fascination with the supernatural of the Philippines and the America South where she was raised, her role as immigration lawyer, our favorite foods to even some folklore I've never ever heard of that left me speechless.

Interview will drop on Filipino-American National News airwaves on July 13 and on Facebook that same evening.

Filipino-American National News stopped by the 3rd Annual Minnesota Lumpia Festival in Chaplin, Minnesota. We spoke to some of the vendors Andrew Manalo of Saigon Meats Manila & Ruby from Rubyspinoyfood. Ruby whose serving out of Fergus Falls, Minnesota drove 3 hours to part of the festival and has been in opperation since 2021.

This is an interview I've been waiting to do since the days of rocking an AOL email as my primary email, but the time has finally come for the to have actor/b-boy/singer/father/DJ Derek Basco on the show.

This veteran actor who comes from the acclaimed Filipino American acting family tree 🌳 of the Basco's siblings (, , & ) to his own children (Darryl, , Emerson & Deuce) is someone who can tell us of his unique experiences of being an Filipino-American actor in the 90's to today.

He is a person lovingly called Kuya D by his family and someone my friends called the philosopher from his role in The Debut that will drop some great stories and prospective from his time in the entertainment world.
