Why Young Artists Don’t Need a Record Label to Succeed — and Why Support Matters Now More Than Ever

For years, the music industry has pushed a narrative that without a record label, an artist’s dreams are out of reach. This belief has discouraged many rising talents, leading them to chase label deals out of fear rather than strategy. But the truth is simple: a record label is not a prerequisite for success.

The Power of the Right Team

What emerging artists truly need is not a label contract, but a strong, committed team—especially a manager who understands how the business works. A record label operates like any other business: it prioritizes profit. Decisions are made based on numbers, projections, and market potential.

A dedicated manager, however, invests in the artist, not just the statistics. They see potential beyond followers and streams. They grow with you, fight for you, and help build a career rooted in authenticity rather than pressure.

Proof That Independence Works

The success stories are everywhere. Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Zlatan, Seyi Vibez, Adekunle Gold, JBoy De Prophet, and several others climbed to the top without depending on traditional label systems. Their journeys show that with talent, consistency, and the right support system, an artist can rise organically and powerfully.

These artists reshaped the industry by proving that independence can be just as effective—if not more freeing—than signing early to a label.

A Moment of Setback for Fluxii

Recently, Fluxii faced a devastating setback when she lost her page of over 100,000 followers. Anyone who understands the digital side of the industry knows how painful this is. That page wasn’t just a number—it was years of creativity, effort, communication, and connection.

Losing it would break anyone’s spirit, yet she continues to stand strong, ready to rebuild from the ground up.

Why Community Matters Now

This is the moment where community becomes powerful. In an industry where visibility means opportunity, Fluxii needs support more than ever. Following her new account isn’t just a small gesture—it’s a statement that her voice, her creativity, and her presence still matter.

Artists rise when people believe in them, and together, we can help her reclaim her space in the industry she has worked so hard to impact.

Please follow Fluxii 🙏

The Shift in Liberia’s Leadership: From Americo-Liberians to Indigenous Rule

For over a century, Liberia’s political landscape was dominated exclusively by the Americo-Liberian community, descendants of free-born and formerly enslaved African Americans and Afro-Caribbeans who began settling the country in the 1820s. This small elite controlled government, shaping Liberia’s policies and institutions while largely excluding the indigenous majority from political power.

This long period of single-group rule came to a dramatic end in 1980, when Master Sergeant Samuel Kanyon Doe led a military coup that overthrew the Americo-Liberian leadership. Doe later became Liberia’s first indigenous president in 1986, marking a historic shift in the nation’s governance and signaling the end of over a century of Americo-Liberian political dominance.

The change under Doe reflected both the deep frustrations of Liberia’s indigenous population and the complex challenges of creating a more inclusive political system in a country long divided by social and ethnic lines.

Gospel Music Ambassador Marron Cassell to Build Liberia’s First Children’s Hospital

Monrovia, Liberia — Liberia’s renowned Gospel Music Ambassador, Marron Cassell, has announced an ambitious plan to construct a state-of-the-art hospital exclusively for children in Liberia. The facility is expected to meet international healthcare standards and will contribute significantly to the modernization of Liberia’s health system, primarily through private sector initiatives.

Speaking during a press briefing at the Ministry of Information on Thursday, Ambassador Cassell emphasized that the project aims to provide high-quality healthcare services for children, a critical need in the country.

To generate initial funds for the hospital, Ambassador Cassell has organized a major musical concert scheduled for November 29 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Stadium. She confirmed that all proceeds from the event will be directed toward the hospital project.

“This hospital is not just a dream, it is a vision to ensure that children in Liberia have access to modern healthcare facilities,” Cassell said. “We are committed to building a facility that meets international standards and improves the lives of our youngest citizens.”

The project marks a significant milestone in Liberia’s efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure, particularly for children, and highlights the potential of private-sector initiatives in addressing national health challenges.

The Ministry of Information has expressed support for the initiative, acknowledging its potential to complement government efforts in improving healthcare delivery in Liberia.
