“Am I Being Detained or Am I Free to Go?”

Marc Wasserman of Pot Brothers at Law delivers a powerful original poem about knowing your rights, remaining calm and remembering the script when interacting with law enforcement.

“I’m not discussing my day.”

“Am I being detained, or am I free to go?”

“I invoke the Fifth.”

Then remain silent.

Knowing what to say—and what not to say—can make all the difference. Memorize the script, protect your rights and let your attorney do the fighting in court.

Authenticity, Mentorship & Finding Her Way Home

From growing up in a household where the plant was simply part of everyday life to building a career in the industry, her journey has been shaped by courage, curiosity and a willingness to take chances.

Along the way, incredible women mentored her, encouraged her and reminded her to keep going. Now, she understands the importance of becoming that same source of support for the next generation of women entering the space.

Through every move, career change and stretch assignment, one thing has carried her forward: remaining authentically herself while developing a deeper understanding of patients, culture and community.

Sometimes, your story becomes your greatest strength when you’re brave enough to share it.

There’s cake... and then there’s Natty Cakes. 🎂✨

Live from CannaCon 2026, Molly sits down with Natasha Givens, the visionary and creator behind Natty Cakes, to talk about the artistry, creativity, and incredible flavors behind her work.

With a Caribbean background influencing her approach to flavor, Natasha thinks beyond the traditional. She’s experimenting with fruit fillings, buttercreams, ganaches, unexpected pairings, premium ingredients, and designs that turn each creation into an experience.

And she’s not stopping at custom cakes.
Natasha is stepping further into teaching, offering baking and decorating classes, and even considering a future recipe book to share more of her creativity with others.

Minneapolis already has an incredible culinary scene. Natasha is ready to add something completely different to it.

What happens when you give yourself permission to slow down and actually connect with your body?

Live from CannaCon 2026, Molly sits down with Sarah Gawinski of Go With Your Flow to talk about her journey into Reiki and the intentional overlap she's discovered between energy work and plant medicine.

For Sarah, Reiki is about creating space to get out of your head, reconnect with your body, and become more aware of what you're carrying physically and emotionally.
And sometimes that space is needed most during life's biggest transitions.
From grief and loss to career changes and everyday overwhelm, Sarah is creating an environment where people can slow down, reconnect, and give themselves permission to process what they're experiencing.

✨ Slow down. Tune in. Find your flow.

Medical cannabis isn't one size fits all, and patients deserve more than a recommendation. They deserve guidance.

In this conversation from CannaCon 2026, Molly “The Kush RN” and Tricia Scanlan Brown, RN discuss why nurses can play such an important role in helping patients navigate medical cannabis.

Nurses understand medications, health histories, symptoms, communication with providers, and most importantly, how to listen without judgment.

Because what happens when the first recommendation doesn't work? What if symptoms change? What about existing medications? When should something be adjusted?

Those are the moments when education and continued support matter.
For patients who may already feel vulnerable discussing their health, having a knowledgeable healthcare professional there to listen, educate, and help them advocate for themselves can make a meaningful difference.

🌿 Cannabis care is personal. Patient education should be too.

Not every powerful voice has the resources or opportunity to get behind the mic. 🎙️

Sponsor a Voice gives brands, organizations, and industry supporters the opportunity to help change that.

Sponsor a featured Conversations with Kush interview and give someone you believe in the opportunity to share their story, perspective, expertise, or impact with a larger audience.

Maybe it’s an advocate. An educator. A founder. A community leader. Or simply someone whose voice deserves to be heard.

It started with 23 women showing up together. Now, it’s a growing community reaching women across Minnesota.

In this conversation from CannaCon 2026, Veronika Alfaro shares how the Minnesota Women’s Cannabis Collective (MNWCC) began with a simple question: How can we come together and show up?

Since 2023, that mission has grown beyond entrepreneurship to support women professionals, industry newcomers, and women looking for meaningful connection and community.

Through monthly gatherings, wellness-focused events, happy hours, virtual education, and opportunities to connect beyond the Twin Cities, MNWCC is creating space for women to grow professionally while remembering to fill their own cups along the way.

The goal is bigger than networking. It’s about connecting women across Minnesota and building an industry we can see ourselves in.

Building an industry takes more than great products. It takes great people willing to connect, educate, and create opportunities for others.

In this conversation at CannaCon 2026, I sat down with Luke McCabe of Canna Connect to talk about how a small community event grew into a statewide network focused on education, collaboration, and bringing Minnesota's cannabis community together.

From hosting events and educational seminars to amplifying industry voices through podcasts and outreach across Greater Minnesota, Canna Connect is helping ensure that no matter where you live, you have access to the people, resources, and conversations shaping this industry.

Because the future of cannabis in Minnesota won't be built in one city. It will be built through connection across the entire state.

💬 Where are you tuning in from? We'd love to hear what part of Minnesota you're representing!

Minnesota Cannabis Week is more than a series of events—it's a week dedicated to connection, education, wellness, and building the future of Minnesota's cannabis community.

In this conversation with Mike Lomuto of the Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA), we break down everything happening August 21–27:
🌲 The Elevated Escape — Three days of wellness, live music, workshops, yoga, and community in nature.
🏛️ Green Equity — Three days of policy, business, culture, capital, storytelling, and mentorship designed to help move Minnesota's cannabis industry forward.
🛍️ Minnesota Marketplace — A curated marketplace connecting businesses, entrepreneurs, and the community to close out an incredible week.

What makes Green Equity so special isn't just the programming—it's the people. Every year, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, advocates, and community members come together to have meaningful conversations about building this industry with intention, collaboration, and integrity.

If you're looking to connect, learn, or help shape the future of cannabis in Minnesota, this is the week to be there.
