I first met Maurice at my high school graduation. Willie & the Bees were the band, and Maurice had his Harlem Globetrotters jersey on.

As a 17-year-old kid, I was mesmerized. They were the funkiest thing I'd ever heard, and I’m not sure I even knew what the word “funk” meant yet.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Maurice over the years in many different contexts, and his humor, his musicality, and that incredible smile have been a blessing in my life for 40 years.

Maurice has given so much joy to so many of us through his music and his spirit. Now he could use a little help from his friends.

Please help if you’re able, and please share regardless. Every penny helps. 🙌💜

My name is Annica, and I'm organizing this fundraiser along side my… Annica Hall needs your support for For Maurice: Giving Back to a Twin Cities Music Legend
