Digital Divide Documentary Empowerment Project The DDDEP aims to create a high quality and engaging piece of community media that challenges dominant media narratives of North MPLS

The Digital Divide Documentary Empower Project (DDDEP) has three major goals:

(1) Create a professionally mastered documentary that will cultivate awareness on issues of inequity in North Minneapolis and challenge dominant media narratives about the community. (2) The youth productions interns employed through the project will graduate with invaluable media production skills and the confidence to

become media producers in their community. (3) A major screening of the film at the Capri Theater in North Minneapolis including additional screenings. Also, broadcasting on public access channels.

If you missed the first screening of Forbidden Fruit: Hidden Gems of the Northside-- no worries. The film is being screened at the Twin Cities Media Alliance Annual Forum this Saturday! The youth filmmakers will be there to answer questions/facilitate a discussion after the screening. Our session starts at 1pm.
