Heavenly Father,
As we come to the close of this week, we pause to thank You for Your goodness and mercy that has carried us through.

Lord, we lift up all those who are weak, weary, and sick,those battling in silence, those in pain, and those losing strength. May Your healing hand touch them today. Restore health to their bodies, peace to their minds, and strength to their spirits.

You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who comforts. Wrap them in Your unfailing love and fill their hearts with hope. May this weekend bring rest, recovery, and renewed faith.

We trust You, Lord, even in our weakness, for Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in our weakness.

THE TONGUE THAT CAN SET A CITY ON FIRE

"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!" (James 3:5)

There is a weapon that requires no license, no bullet, and no blade, yet it can destroy homes, ministries, marriages, reputations, and even nations. That weapon is the tongue.

It’s small in size but mighty in impact. A single careless word can ruin a lifetime of labor. A false accusation can provoke a war. A gossip can divide a church. A slanderous post can destroy someone’s destiny.

One tweet can start a riot.
One lie can ruin a leader.
One bitter word can spark hatred in a whole city.

The tongue is fire. But whose fire is it? God’s or hell’s?

James 3:6 says, “The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity... and it is set on fire of hell.” If left unchecked, your words will be tools of hell. But when surrendered to God, your tongue can heal nations, encourage generations, and preach salvation.

Guard your mouth like you guard your house both can let in thieves.
Pray before you speak. Silence can never be misquoted.

Speak life, not death. Your words are seeds, what are you planting in your city?

You don’t need matches to burn a city.
You just need a reckless tongue.
But the same tongue can build a city, heal a land, and restore the broken.
Choose your fire.

Heavenly Father,

In the quiet of this moment, I come before You with a heart that longs for peace. My mind is weary, troubled by thoughts I cannot control, and weighed down by burdens too heavy to carry alone.

Lord, I ask for Your calming presence. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind. Silence the noise within me, and replace my anxiety with trust in Your perfect plan.

When fear creeps in, remind me of Your promises. When doubt rises, fill me with faith. Help me to let go of what I cannot change and rest in the assurance that You are in control.

Give me clarity in confusion, strength in weakness, and hope in uncertainty. Let Your Word be my anchor, and Your Spirit my guide.

I release every worry into Your hands, Lord. Grant me serenity, restore my joy, and renew my mind with Your truth.

In Jesus’ name, I pray,

*Heavenly Father,*

I come before You this morning with a grateful heart. Thank You for the peaceful night’s rest and the protection You granted me and my loved ones as we slept. Truly, it is only by Your grace that we rise to see a new day.

Lord, as I step into this new week, I ask for Your strength to carry me through every task and challenge. Give me wisdom to make the right decisions and patience to handle every situation with grace.

Bless the work of my hands, Lord. Help our business to grow and flourish under Your guidance. Open doors of opportunity and give us clarity to see new ways of making progress each day.

Direct my thoughts, my words, and my actions so that all I do may bring glory to Your name. Keep me focused, disciplined, and filled with hope, even when the week feels long and tough.
