House renovations continued! This old house was built in 1924 and I am honoring the historic character with some subtle modern updates. For refinishing the hardwood floors I chose to do one coat of white stain using bona nordicseal followed by two coats of clear natural for a matte finish. The stains in the dining room foor could be fixed if I feathered in new floorboards but it’s not that serious. The before and after is SO satisfying. So happy with how these lighted up!!

The scale of this vintage painting is impressive and the color story is perfect for a recent interior design project. Finding vintage paintings has to be one of my favorite ways to contribute to underconsumption and it’s definitely a lifelong practice. Plus I love that this artist’s work lives on and continues to be enjoyed. So excited to hang this!
