In January 1945, a ten-year-old boy named Marcel Zielinski walked 60 miles through snow from Auschwitz-Birkenau to Kraków, searching for what remained of his family. Decades later, 250 cyclists from 12 countries retraced that path in a mission called Ride for the Living.

For the Living asks what it means to bear witness, not from a distance, but in your body, on the road, in the cold.
