Ukraine’s drone warfare is changing the battlefield. 🇺🇦

According to Ukraine’s Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, more than 100 Russian soldiers surrendered during the winter of 2026 after being tracked and confronted by Ukrainian drones.

UAV operators reportedly recorded several cases where Russian troops laid down their weapons once they realized drones were watching them from above. The drones then guided the soldiers toward Ukrainian positions where they were taken into custody.

Fedorov added that each captured soldier could later help secure the release of Ukrainian defenders through future prisoner exchanges.
Modern war is no longer only fought with tanks and artillery — technology in the sky is now forcing soldiers on the ground to surrender.

Honor them. Remember them. Ukrainian heroes never die.

Dmytro Kotsiubailo — “Da Vinci.”
A volunteer from the first days of the war. A commander respected even by generals.
The great-grandson of a UPA fighter — the spirit of freedom ran in his blood.

Wounded in battle, but he returned to the front.
He led the “Da Vinci Wolves” — one of the most effective assault units in Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

The first volunteer ever awarded the title Hero of Ukraine while still alive.

Killed in the battle for Bakhmut on March 7, 2023.
Awarded the People’s Hero of Ukraine honor.
Buried at Askold’s Grave in Kyiv.

He gave his life for Ukraine.
Honor all who fight — and all who gave their lives for our freedom.
