Got to integrate our Arm Car and Chameleon One MPV Mobile unit, DIT and VTR / Video Assist in style and mega-ultra-efficiency configurations.

Broward County recently welcomed the new ABC drama series RJ Decker for filming key scenes in the pilot episode! Based on Carl Hiaasen’s novel ‘Double Whammy’, the series follows a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con, turned private investigator (Scott Speedman) who finds himself solving strange cases with a complex team in South Florida.

Filming has taken place along Las Olas Boulevard for a driving scene, Las Olas Oceanside Park, A1A and b-roll all around Fort Lauderdale, adding to the region’s growing list of high-profile productions. Recurring production days are set to return in the coming months.

RJ Decker Premiere’s on Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:00pm EST on ABC.

We were just trying to solve a multitude of problems and challenges and ended up building the most versatile and adaptable Mobile Production Trucks in the business.

They are Film Command Vans, but also multi track Mobile recording studios, but also digital film multicamera trucks, but also OB Vans, and DIT/VTR dark room studios on wheels, and Drone Command Centers, and the ultimate Arm Car chase support vehicle…

but wait there is more….

And multipurpose completely customizable Mobile Video Village, and Mobile Lighting Previz Studios, and production offices, and live Film Coloring Grading and editing Mobile studios.

Our fleet is growing and getting better, all our units can run for over three continuous days with their own beefy built in generators, and be fully functional while on the move driving.

Through our Chameleon Multipurpose Production Vehicles unique designs and engineering integration CMG and Extreme Jibs have absolutely impacted the way specialized camera work is done for a variety of productions, from feature films to TV commercials, music videos and other projects, by offering top of the line Mobile solutions that significantly cut time on set, give the technical team all the Video Assist and engineering tools necessary to work more efficiently and Directors, DoP, AD, VFX, DIT, Scripty, producers and the rest of the leadership team enjoy the ultimate Film Command Van experience, a Mobile video village in steroids with all the bells and whistles needed to successfully work on set.

Thinking outside the box is never easy, being innovative is always challenging, changing the status quo takes hard work and dedication, there are no shortcuts to greatness, R&D is a process which requires trial and error, bench testing, and countless hours and lots of patience.

Pre-Production is always your best friend.
Taking the time to plan, bench test, prep, tech rehearse and iron down the details is a good formula for success, and needless to say those buttons with k***s and fancy equipment are useless without a qualified crew of professionals who get things done and are ready for anything thrown their way.

Live sports are always unpredictable, specially this type of one on one Street Basketball Tournaments, they move extremely fast, and require good coverage.

The event was a great success, we had over 1 million live viewers on pay per view streaming online. Our technical team was excellent and on point, and our client was very happy.

Shout out to Andrew Sheffler from Elite AVL for providing us with a beefy state of the art new media server to run running our instant replay like a boss.

Special thanks to Producer / Director and good friend Mitch Anthony from Mad Enterprises for the opportunity to work on this tournament.

Our Chameleon One Mobile Unit worked like a charm, we had a large setup back stage as well, 15 camera feeds, lots of real time graphics, 3 camera routable instant replay, playback and score board content, 1 million live viewers, the quality of the stream was top notch front end and back end, it was a great success, and can’t wait to do it again.

We are almost done with this over the top beast, it will dominate the seas and any other body of water with incredible agility, stability, and insane speeds of 58 knots plus.

This beauty has taken 5 months to design and build, and is on the final stages of kickassness supreme. It is a living testament of what happens when creativity, engineering, extensive marine expertise, 25 plus years of specialty camera hands on experience and a bunch of good friends get together and say: “can we do this crazy build?”, and we all answer: “heck yeah, hold my beer, let’s get to work”

We are ready to mount and do water tests with both of our gorgeous Motocrane Arms, Ultra and Hyper, combined with our newest addition, the Titan Motocrane camera head (which is fully water proof)

Our new Basilisk unit (The Jesus Lizard or water walking lizard) is ready for water tests at multiple speeds, and we are more than happy to share the process and results.

We will feature 3 configurations to start:

1-Camera Arm Boat (with full 360 seamless rotation)

2-Marine Drone Control Unit (in sync with our other Chameleon Mobile trucks)

3-Underwater Film Scuba Command Center (with RC submarines, underwater communications and multicamera solutions)

Our brand spanking new bad to the bone, urban tank, AKA: “Chameleon Two” Multipurpose Production Vehicle (MPV) just returned from its first official deployment, and it was totally awesome! Thank you CT for the opportunity to be on this cutting edge project.

This live show was spectacular and over the top for the christening ceremony of Disney’s newest Cruise Ship “Destiny”

Featuring realtime motion tracking controlling the entire Projection Mapping canvas of the entire massive cruise ship on the water (never done before) live synchronized Drone Show and Live Performances of the ship’s cast.

Flux Capacitor Initiated…good for 100 years without recharging

8 months of hard work paid off.

I hope you like it, this beauty can do anything.

It can house 11 stations, has a beefy Cummins built in 10KW Generator, and is completely structurally reinforced with rigging everywhere, runs for 3 days straight without shore power, has multiple bonded high speed Internet services plus Starlink, and can do virtually anything, adapt to any workflow or configuration tailored for each unique project, it is the most efficient mobile Video Village ever built.

Our two Custom Shipping containers AKA “Chameleon Pods” (because they are also built to adapt to many configurations, and can become many things), this time they housed and protected 30 top notch Barco UDX 40k lumen monster Laser Projectors.

“We want to do meaningful work with people we care about”

It’s such a blessing to work with so many talented professionals who understand the importance of thorough pre production and planning.

The Frost team asked us to join forces in order to execute this massive setup, not your everyday cookie by any means, we built a seamless canvas using 24- 25k lumen projectors with all sorts of lenses from our good friends from Evolve Technology who always take the time to plan and prep and take great care of their equipment, we had all matching new Panasonic RQ25 laser projectors, the final product looked amazing.

Our Video Director Luis Espinosa came out with the genius idea of using our Chameleon One Multipurpose Production Mobile Unit as our video village since we had to face many challenges from footprint, to distances, to power during setup days, all these made our Chameleon One the perfect fit for the job, it is by far the best video village and command unit we could have used for this project.

We had a stellar technical team both at the shop prep days and on show site, the final looks were gorgeous and everyone was very impressed with the results.

The “Fix it in Prep” mentality and approach always works.
