Sophia has landed at home for the first time. We found a little damage in our Coachhouse after being gone for 3 months, but mostly it's going to be finding new homes for all the items we pulled from the 5th wheel before we left.

What a summer of travel. Started just before June when we traveled to Waco to trade our 5th wheel for our new to us motorhome. Today we are waiting on an insurance adjuster to look at our awning damage from the July windstorm in South Dakota. Once we're done with him, hopefully I can make the 5-hour drive home yet today so we can get back to home life in Mission Texas for the winter. The graph at the bottom is interesting. It shows our elevation at every location we stopped during this summer of travel.

Wow! What a trip the last 2 days....and we have 1 more drive day to go. We left Colorado and went through New Mexico have arrived inFort Stockton, Texas at our 1st of 2 stops. It has been 2 long days with Saturday missing our turn and then adding an extra hour to our day, but did get to go through Pagosa Springs (bucket list for me but not the drive for either of us). To say the wind gust and wind gust warnings on our GPS are butt clenching is true....there have been a few that we both said whoa......

Enjoying our last evening at Mesa Verde RV Resort and watching some of my favorite sports. Tomorrow morning we start a 900 mile 3 day relocating trip down to San Antonio where we'll get the insurance estimates done for the awning damage. The end of next week we'll complete this summer adventure and end up back home in Mission Texas for the winter.
