Multiple bomb threats at Catholic schools in the metro today.
In Ottawa, there was a threat at Sacred Heart School and Church at 408 South Cedar.
Ottawa Police officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate. The threat was left on a voicemail at the school and threatened that there was a bomb in the building. Officers searched the buildings and found nothing suspicious.
No school was scheduled for today and there were no church services at the time of the event.
In Olathe, Police were dispatched to Prince of Peace Catholic School regarding a threat. The Olathe Police Department, along with Fire Department personnel, assisted with evacuating the school and clearing it to ensure there was no active threat.
The threat was unfounded, and it was determined that other cities in the metro were receiving similar hoax calls.
Meantime, Overland Park Police say their officers responded to Barton and W.103rd (Holy Spirit) regarding a threat. All indications point to the threat being false.
We are also hearing reports that St. Agnes was evacuated.
