The mountains, woods, and fields of northwest Montana (Blackfeet and Salish/Kootenai land) have been home for Josh Schott of Mystic Wolf for most of his life. As a result of a transformational healing journey, he lives as a nomad in Latin America, where he began making music in the mountains on the southern end of the world, in the Andes of Chile (Mapuche land). Hiking and backpacking every corner

of his home backyard of Glacier Park and surrounding areas fostered a deep spiritual connection to nature and wildlife. That relationship to nature and the rustic culture of Montana inspires a sound where folk weaves intricately with electronica and multicultural rhythms that produces a sonic landscape ranging from meditative to ecstatic. His music guides you on a journey while massaging your soul. Having been involved in liberation movements since his teenage years, Mystic Wolf uses music as a vehicle and platform for personal and social transformation by elevating our vibration to a frequency of collective liberation. This frequency requires action, so he partners with Palestine liberation, racial, gender, and economic justice movements and organizations to amplify their message and support their work with the intention to make music with an impact. Mystic Wolf creates a synergistic space for healing, spirituality, liberation work, and music.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has released the 2025 Wolf Report and proposed wolf regulations for the 2026–2027 season. The Fish & Wildlife Commission votes on the proposal at its meeting on August 19th at 8 AM in Helena.

MFWP has proposed to kill 250 of Montana’s roughly 725 wolves while admitting the model it used for years grossly inflated the population. We have a narrow window to speak up. Submit a comment, attend the meeting, and share this with your community.

I definitely had to work through some jitters from this being my first show at this level but coming on the other side of those feelings because of a successful show feels like this little dude.
