PRIMARY ELECTION, JUNE 2, 2026
NOTICE is hereby given to the qualified electors of Harrison County, State of Iowa, that the
Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Polls open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M.
VOTERS must declare a political party of DEMOCRATIC or REPUBLICAN when voting at the Primary Election. Voters may change from their current political party to another political party at the time of voting. The voter’s official registration record will be changed to reflect the political party affiliation used when voting at the Primary Election. Any political changes made
after the election are not effective until the Primary Election records have been updated by the Auditor’s Office.
Voters must vote at the precinct where they live. Please read this notice carefully to determine your correct polling location.
Location of voting precincts are as follows:

Precinct 1 – Little Sioux Township & City of Little Sioux, City Hall, 407 N 1 st St, Little Sioux
Precinct 2 – Jackson & Allen Townships & City of Pisgah, Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 420 Front St, Pisgah
Precinct 3 – Harrison & Douglas Townships & City of Dunlap, City Hall, 716 Iowa Ave, Dunlap
Precinct 4 – Morgan & Raglan Townships & City of Mondamin, Community Center, 200 Maple St, Mondamin
Precinct 5 – Magnolia & Calhoun Townships & City of Magnolia, City Hall, 380 Magnolia St, Magnolia
Precinct 6 – Boyer & Lincoln Townships & City of Woodbine, Sacred Heart Parish Center, 33 7 th St, Woodbine
Precinct 7 – Clay, Taylor & Cincinnati Townships & City of Modale, American Legion Hall,
102 E Palmer St, Modale
Precinct 8 – Jefferson & LaGrange Townships & City of Logan, Community Center, 108 W 4 th St, Logan
Precinct 9 – St John Township & City of Missouri Valley, Rand Center, 100 S 4 th St, Missouri Valley
Precinct 10 – Cass, Union, & Washington Townships & City of Persia, Persia Fire Hall, 117 Main St, Persia.
St John Township and City of Missouri Valley polling precincts have been temporarily combined and voters will continue to vote at the Rand Community Center in Missouri Valley.
Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot.
Voters who are not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote on election day – and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence.
A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required)
1) may have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another
registered voter in the precinct,
2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration
documents,
3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the County Auditor’s office by 12:00 Noon

ELECTION FRAUD. A voter commits the crime of Election Misconduct in the First Degree if the person submits false information when registering to vote. Election misconduct in the
first degree is a class “D” felony, and punishable by a fine of up to $10,245 and/or imprisonment of up to five (5) years. Convicted felons who register and vote without receiving a restoration of voting rights from the Governor are committing a class “D” felony.
IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE HAS ALREADY BEEN RESTORED, REQUEST A PROVISIONAL BALLOT.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that any voter who requires assistance to vote by reason of blindness, disability, or inability to read or write may be given assistance by a person of the voter’s choice, other than the voter’s employer or agent of that employer or officer or agent of the voter’s union.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, in accordance with Chapter 49.53 of the Iowa Code that any voter who is physically unable to enter the polling place has the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle.

Each polling location is equipped with a ballot marking device which may assist persons with disabilities to vote more independently. The device allows voters to make their selections using an audio read-back and touchpad or touchscreen. The touchscreen device provides magnification and reverse black and white images. Voters unable to see the screen may have the
screen turned off and use only the audio read-back and touchpad features.
The audio read-back feature provides all ballot instructions, choices, and selections in an audio format using headphones. After making selections with the ballot marking device, via touchpad or touchscreen, the device will mark the voter’s paper ballot, and the voter will insert their marked ballot in the ballot scanner used to count all ballots.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, in accordance with Chapter 52.35 of the Iowa Code that the duly authorized agents of the Harrison County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections shall publicly examine and test all voting machines to be used for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election.
Public testing will commence on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. at the Courthouse. Go to the Auditor’s Office for access into the election equipment testing room.
