Today, we honor the life, strength, and legacy of Ben Conken.

Ben was a former student-athlete at Cottage Hill Christian Academy, where he made his mark both in the classroom and on the field before continuing his academic and athletic journey at the University of West Florida.

Ben fought a courageous battle with cancer, showing the same heart, toughness, and determination that defined him as an athlete. His fight may be over, but the impact he made on his family, friends, teammates, coaches, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him will live on.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Conken family, his loved ones, and the entire Cottage Hill and UWF communities during this difficult time. 🙏🏽💙

Baker products Jacorey Adams and Blake Anthony represented Mobile with pride, showcasing their talent, toughness, and dedication inside the ring.

Mobile’s own Nic G. Sims once believed football would be his future.

After starring at Murphy High School, his talent earned him a full Division I scholarship to the University of Toledo before his football journey continued at Indiana State. But multiple injuries eventually forced him to walk away from the game he had built his life around.

What looked like an ending became a beginning.

Nic discovered another gift: acting.

He changed his path, studied theater, moved to New York and bet on himself. That journey has taken him from Wu-Tang: An American Saga and East New York to a pivotal role in the upcoming third season of P-Valley.

His story is a reminder to every young athlete in Mobile:

You are bigger than the one thing you’re known for.

Sometimes the dream changes. The gifts God gave you don’t.

There is so much talent, soul, creativity and culture in Mobile. Whether your gift leads you to the field, the stage, the screen, music, business or somewhere you haven’t even imagined yet—don’t be afraid to become more than the first version of yourself you imagined.

Huge Congratulations to Kendrick Able Jr on winning GTA6 & NCAA27 🤟🏽♥️

This young man attended the free community activity that consisted of run , walk , or jog club created by Together We Move . It was an amazing experience and it really good seeing our student athletes attend this positive event that is held every Saturday morning at 7am at South Alabama Intramural field 🤟🏽 Kendrick is not only a rising senior at Theodore High School but also an outstanding student athlete with leadership qualities on and off the field !

Kendrick also completed a 1 minute video that was required in order to be a qualified participant on winning this video games 🤟🏽

Rest in Peace Mark & James 🕊️💔

Let’s please keep the St. Paul’s & UMS Wright Families in our prayers . These two former student athletes passed away earlier this morning at their hunting camp due to a fire .

both young men were business majors, and members of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity at the University of Alabama .

Hensley was a graduate of St. Paul’s Episcopal School , he was student athlete that played basketball .

Mostellar was a graduate UMS-Wright Preparatory School, where he was a multi-sport athlete competing in varsity football, lacrosse, and track.

Let’s take the time to keep their families , friends , and their both programs in our prayers 🙏🏾♥️
