Norfolk, Virginia-based Capes Shipping Agencies has expanded its Gulf Coast footprint with the opening of new offices in Mobile; Houston; and Corpus Christi, Texas. The port manager of the Mobile office is Jennings Lawler, who was recently hired and has local experience at Host Agency, TruBridge and Employee Liability Management. The office serves all ports and facilities in Pascagoula, Theodore and Mobile from 11 North Water Street, Suite 1045.

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) is holding Back to School Family Day on July 12 at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission to the museum will be free, and families will have the opportunity to participate in several indoor and outdoor activities like ice and bubble painting, experimenting with bubbles, creating visual journal collages and a scavenger hunt across the museum property. There will be prizes, and the first 100 visitors will receive a free backpack full of school supplies. There will also be an interactive storytime with Pete the Cat and other surprises.
