This was my first commissioned piece and I am absolutely in love with how it turned out. Honestly there are so many finer details that the picture doesn't do it justice. On the butterfly side I used watercolors to create the delicacy or a butterfly wing and on the tree side I used an impasto technique to embody the wooden aspect of the original.

All done! It's a different twist on one of my favorite pieces but I'm so happy with how this one turned out! This will be one of my pieces for art walk, so if you like it come down and see it in person on October 14th.
