Back then, the radio DJ wasn’t just some anonymous voice between songs.
He felt like somebody you actually knew.
Every night he introduced you to new bands, told stories, took requests, and somehow always seemed to understand exactly what kind of mood the city was in after midnight.
You’d drive around with the windows down hoping he’d play your favorite song next. And when he finally did, it felt personal — like he was talking directly to you through the speakers.
Honestly, radio used to feel human.
Now most people couldn’t even tell you who’s talking between the songs anymore.
