Sad to report that another legend has passed. The great Ralph Emery has died at age 88. We had many conversations on and off the air over the years and he was always a thoughtful interviewer. I know you'll join me in sending prayers to the family.
RIP Mr. Ralph Emery! Thanks for the memories! The year was 1976, and he introduced me as Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton's discovery on his nationally celebrated Pop Goes The Country show. I appeared with his guest star the legendary Sonny James.

When I was an aspiring musician back when most of my family thought I had lost my mind, my Aunt Vivian, who was known as "Dude" used to play Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells music on her little 45 record player, and she was the only one who heard any potential in my music. I'm proud to say she was right. Now I want to send this one out to my Aunt Mildred, her baby sister and all lovers of real country music.
