🚨 ICE AGENT SHOT IN FRESNO — THEN POLICE ARRESTED HIM!

A 72-year-old father, his daughter, and an off-duty ICE agent. What happened outside this Fresno home has left many people asking questions.

According to Fresno police, the incident unfolded around 3 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026.

🏠 A woman discovered a stranger sleeping on her front lawn.

👴 Her 72-year-old father went outside to ask him to leave.

⚠️ Police say the stranger, identified as 32-year-old ICE agent David Gonzalez, appeared intoxicated and allegedly attacked the father and daughter.

🔫 Fearing for their safety, the father fired one shot, striking Gonzalez.

🚔 But here's the unexpected twist...

**THE WOUNDED ICE AGENT WAS THE ONE ARRESTED.**

Gonzalez was hospitalized and taken into custody on felony assault allegations.

Police say the 72-year-old homeowner will NOT face charges based on their initial investigation.

And one major question remains unanswered:

Fresno police have identified two suspects in the deadly shooting outside Bulldog Liquor near Shaw Avenue and Fresno Street.

Police say 25-year-old Muhammad Muhtaraam-Conley was shot in the parking lot shortly after 10:30 p.m. and later died from his injuries.

Investigators identified 20-year-old Sakilian Drum and 26-year-old Malik Upshaw in connection with the case. Police say Drum turned himself in and was taken into custody on an assault-with-a-firearm allegation.

Upshaw remains wanted on suspicion of murder, according to Fresno police.

Investigators say a verbal confrontation happened before the gunfire. Police have not publicly released the complete surveillance footage or announced a detailed motive.

The allegations remain accusations, and the case is still under investigation.

On This Day — August 28, 1980

27-year-old Helen Terry was found murdered inside her Sacramento apartment after water began leaking through the ceiling into the unit below.

Her young son was found alive inside the home, and investigators believed Helen fought back before she was killed.

For decades, the case remained unsolved.

Then in 2016, new DNA testing pointed investigators toward Robert Lee Terry. Police said they still did not have enough evidence to arrest him at the time.

That changed in September 2024, when Robert Terry was arrested and charged with Helen Terry’s murder — more than 44 years after her death.

He later pleaded not guilty.

In 2025, the criminal proceedings were suspended after Terry was found incompetent to stand trial, and he was later released from jail while the case remained unresolved.

Nearly half a century later, Helen Terry’s family is still waiting for a final resolution.

Missing Fresno woman found dead; ex-boyfriend arrested in homicide investigation.

Fresno police arrested 39-year-old Jeffrey Michaels on suspicion of murder after Tatyana McIntyre, also known to family as Alison Riley, was found dead inside the garage of a southeast Fresno home.

According to investigators, McIntyre went to Michaels’ East Grove Avenue home in Fresno on August 4, 2026. After she stopped communicating, her family reported her missing and Fresno police began tracing her last known movements.

Investigators later found McIntyre’s rented Fiat abandoned in an orchard near Academy and McKinley avenues. Surveillance footage also showed the Fiat traveling in the area and being followed by a white truck investigators linked to Michaels.

Police eventually served a search warrant at Michaels’ Fresno residence. Officers found McIntyre dead inside the garage. Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto said McIntyre suffered multiple upper-body lacerations.

According to police, Michaels left Fresno in a borrowed vehicle. Investigators used license plate reader technology to track the vehicle toward the Salinas area.

Police said a Fresno detective then established contact with Michaels and convinced him to return. Michaels ultimately surrendered and was booked on suspicion of murder following what authorities described as a 63-hour investigation.

As of the latest update, investigators said they had not recovered the weapon and had not publicly announced a motive. Michaels remained jailed with $1 million bail.

Loved ones later gathered for a candlelight vigil honoring McIntyre.

Three generations of one Modesto family are gone after a heartbreaking tragedy on Monterey Avenue.

According to Modesto police and local reports, officers responded shortly after 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, to the 1600 block of Monterey Avenue, near Orville Wright Elementary School, after a reported disturbance.

Inside the home, police found 23-year-old Fabiola Gonzalez-Nunez, her mother, 54-year-old Maria Sylvia Nunez-Villalobos, and a two-week-old infant later identified by family as Mateo Gonzalez.

Police say another young child was found inside the home and taken for medical evaluation. Orville Wright Elementary was placed on lockdown while officers searched the area, and students were later relocated to La Loma Junior High School as a precaution.

Investigators identified the suspect as 28-year-old Joaquin Escoto. Police say he was later found hiding inside a nearby residence and taken into custody without incident.

Authorities believe Escoto and Fabiola shared a child, though the exact relationship remains under investigation. Police say the case appears to have been isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

For the family, this is an unimaginable loss: a grandmother, a young mother, and a newborn baby, remembered through candles, flowers, photos, stuffed animals, and a community left grieving.
