LGBTQ+ history is important now more than ever. It’s especially important in music. This compilation is a wonderful time capsule of q***r musical history and a great building block to help when discovering new music and adding to your music collection. Opening with the legendary Brontez Purnell’s band The Younger Lovers and closing with the iconic and groundbreaking q***rcore band Pansy Division. The track by the goddess trans cabaret singer Bambi Lake is a definite standout and a big reason this compilation caught my eye in the first place. Educate yourself and keep LGBTQ+ culture and music alive. Happy Pride! Here’s hoping for a volume 2! By Sam Alberti

There were at least 7 Pale members, including a dancer and a background singer due to changes at various times. Pale was: Moon Trent (1989-2003) Matt Salas (1989-1990), Paul f. Line (1991-1993, 2003), Steve Black ne Steve Boler (1993-1994), Geoff Walters (1993), 1 female singer, Jennifer Walker (1992) and 1 female dancer, Amy Hilpert (1992)... Moon Trent has also sung solo, and for the bands Brown-Star and The Visitors Kimberly among others and Paul records with The Jolly Morticians. The band Pale released 2 cassette-only albums on Timmi-kat ReCoRDS; "Palelivehomemade" 1991 which is a live album and "Foghorn, Leghorn, and Seven Dwarves ago" 1992 which is an acoustic album with a radio interviews of Paul Line from KCSS and Pale from KWOD & Alex Cosper on side 2.
