Our first day in Bowling Green was a success as we won the JBA Auto Group stk/ss shootout. Thank you to Bo and Randi Lynn Butner and Hoosier Tires! We went 5 rounds and made it down to 8 cars in the LODRS event. Let’s see how we do in the JEGS SportsNationals.

No Podcast Tonight! Just got to Bowling Green and getting set up. Also forgot I was an hour behind my regular EST! I will be racing 2 cars and servicing a Hemi so I will do my best to get some coverage. We will recap race results on Tuesday, from Indy! Congrats to our Brainerd and Epping Winners.

Indy is closing in and that means Heads-up Class eliminations. With 17 potential cars in D/SA, who will take the Diamond Wally? Of the cars entered, Doug Hoven's Firebird has run the quickest pass of 2026, with a 10.337 at 125 mph. Last year Darren Robinson ran 10.36 in the final to beat Andrew Hill who ran a 10.40.

It's been 4 years since I've been in competition with the family car and it was just like old times, dumping the clutch and listening to that engine sing. The Sargente-Fazio team snagged a 75th Diamond Wally in the M/SA class final against the tough John Warehime by a slim .007 sec! The Lawrence powered ran great all weekend and turned on a couple win-lights in the eliminator. Thank you to Bob Sr. and Mark Sargente for tuning it up in the final and everyone that helped push me to the staging lanes.
