While I won’t be a candidate for office this cycle, I am not sitting this one out. I am excited to use my podcast Mokena’s Front Porch Podcast which I have been working to grow for the last 2 years, to be a place to keep the community updated and a place to get to know the candidates.

The mail in and provisional ballots were added today and I ended up 13 votes short. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who supported me and my campaign!

As of now I am behind by 20 votes. April 18th will be the day that provisional and mail in ballots postmarked by Election Day are counted. I’m not holding my breath and being so close it could change but as of now I assume I lost.

Polls are open! When you go to vote please cast 1 of your 4 votes for park District for me!
I am the only candidate to present ideas to make improvements to our Park District. I have run on the idea of openness and communication and was the only candidate to answer the Mokena Patch candidate questionnaire.
I have worked hard during this election and if you elect me to the Mokena Community Park District, I will work just as hard for our community over the next four years.

It was great to meet so many Mokena neighbors this morning at the train station! Thanks for joining me, Catherine Johnson for Lincoln-Way D210 School Board! It was nice having the company of Tessa Rebmann Quinlan’s father in law too, along with Mokena’s Unofficial Mayor, Danny Potter!

Tomorrow is the day! Please be sure to get out and vote tomorrow, Tuesday April 4th! Polls are open 6am-7pm!
