My least favorite chore is scrubbing down the waterers after some days of neglect. In the summer it sucks because of all the algae, in the winter it sucks because the water is so cold.

It is satisfying to have everything spotless when I’m finished.

Afternoons like this are my favorite!! Baby strapped to my chest, toddler going crazy in the water. This was filmed right before we got our pig, and it was still pretty hot out. Hot enough for my chickens to go broody for too long, so they got a little time-out to cool off 🐓

Luckily, dad got home just in time to take the baby so I could finish up a few chores where I could actually bend down. Meanwhile, the toddler was jumping in the water tub I had just cleaned!! It’s always chaotic, but I love it 💛

No regrets!!! We are so happy to have Rusty. We had no idea how much of a good boy he was going to be. He does well with the kids, chickens, and our dog Rosie.

This shows Rosie’s first time meeting him. She doesn’t leave him alone. I was worried at first with her size and how rough she is when she wants to play. But now they are besties and she is so gently with him. He gives her nibbles on her legs sometimes, so funny.

The kids loveee him so much as do we. The belly rubs are a plus for sure!😂😂

The garden has been so wet from all the rain last week. My marigolds couldn’t wait to sprout!

I’ve been trying to collect the dried seed pods for next year, but a lot have already sprouted while still on the plant😂

I throw them around the garden like glitter so we’ll see what happens🌞🌼

Our oldest was super excited, the baby was confused, the chickens were weary, but now they all love him!!

The chickens kept their distance (other than bluey and bingo). Now they eat the food he drops!

He is a very happy boy and very loved!! Can’t wait to share more!!

Just another project completed!!
Getting another animal meant building a new shelter, and then sprucing up the area with some fresh paint 💙

Proud of my husband, Alex, for building Rusty this amazing pig pen. Even though the whole time he was saying he didnt know what he was doing… I think he does!! Everything looks amazing, and our animals are happy!! 🐥🐓🐖🐽
